It was in the 18th century that the wine specialist Johann Philipp Bronner, while classifying sites, confirmed the very good wine growing conditions of this region. Site maps dating back to 1837 used parcel names that even today stand for the best wines. Whilst in the wake of globalisation the origin of our food is becoming increasingly hard to trace, we have since time immemorial been able to document the origin of our wines – down to the last square meter. For this we receive praise and recognition – worldwide.
